Tenerife Property
The Tenerife property market is a strong one and has been for 20 years. In fact it is still as true as it was 20 years ago, that purchasing a Tenerife property is a very good financial investment and more and more people are discovering the benefits of buying a Tenerife property every year. Tenerife property prices are always rising steadily, but there are always bargains to be found and profits to be made. Buying a Tenerife property is not only about what makes good financial sense, it is also an excellent investment. Buying a Tenerife property also makes sense if you want to relocate to the sunshine as Tenerife has one of the best climates and atmospheres within a 5 hour flight of the UK.
The Canary Islands geographical position means that they enjoy almost constant good weather all year round. Tenerife is the largest of the seven islands that make up this Spanish owned archipelago and boasts the highest point in the Spain, that of Mount Teide which is also the worlds 3rd largest volcano, but don’t worry…… it is dormant! The mountain, the trade winds and the weather have created a variety of vastly different and beautiful micro climates around the island. In fact not only is it one of the few places left on earth that you will find laurel and pine forests left over from millions of years ago, but Tenerife is also one of only a handful of places in the world that you can find such a wealth of climates and conditions so close together.
With the advent of the cheap package holiday and flight times from most UK airports being under 5 hours, Tenerife attracts over 3 million visitors every year, many of which are repeat visitors. In fact, Tenerife actually attracts more repeat visitors than any other European holiday destination which just goes to show how many people fall in love with the island and the way of life here.
There is already a massive expat community throughout Tenerife and if you are that way inclined, there are areas where the British community is so strong that you can feel you were still in the UK with much improved weather conditions. At the other extreme there are areas that are predominately Spanish communities where you would need to speak at least the basics of the language to get by. However, there are many places where the two cultures meet and blend easily, with typical English bars offering fried breakfast and pints for a Euro sitting comfortably next to traditional Spanish tapas bars.
