Are You Ready For Five Star Living In Costa Adeje?

Big on design and big on space, just two of the differences with Baobab Domains, the future of luxury five star living and the stylish new way to holiday in a well managed and maintained home.

Costa Adeje has some of the best beaches in Tenerife and at Baobab Domains it’s just a few minutes walk from the coast and the up market fashion shops at Plaza del Duque. The area has become known for ambitious and ground breaking developments but the architects have moved things on to another stage with this collection of 40 styles of property including apartments and penthouses all in an elevated position with guaranteed clear sea views.

The living areas are bright and spacious but it doesn’t ease off there, bathrooms and kitchens have also been crafted by enlightened architects and that theme continues on the terraces, at the clubhouse, and at the pool bar. Security, safety and low energy and low emission design make sure that these homes are as efficient as they are pleasing on the eye.

As an investment there is little to match Baobab Domains, a streamlined management programme will ensure the smooth and inexpensive running while the sheer class of the buildings make them homes where any tenant would look forward to every holiday. Just take a look at the images on the Baobab Domains website and you realise that this is something very special.

Spoilt For Choice In Tenerife, An Island Of So Many Attractions

The sun and beaches are the obvious attractions of Tenerife but property hunters usually have a big list of needs to tick off their list, shop around and you can find it all. Let’s just pick a few areas and see what they have to offer.

Los Gigantes is a long established west coast favourite, with a sun hours record second to none and bursting with charm many holiday makers return again and again before finally making the permanent move. Tenerife Property Sales have 40 years of experience in Los Gigantes and owner and founder Paul Ruane has built his reputation on his unbeatable local knowledge and friendly service.

Palm Mar in comparison is a new kid on the block, set in a natural sun trap on the south east coast was purpose built for luxury living. on one side the Guaza mountain protects it from the wind and on the other is Malpais de Rasca a protected wildlife reserve among the volcanic fields. Despite its secluded location it’s just a short drive into Los Cristianos to the west and the south airport to the east. Grupo Los Menceyes have a top selection of comfortable and relaxing complexes with every amenity you could need with great views out to the atlantic.

The choice of property for sale in Tenerife is so wide you don’t have to settle for one preference over another, how about getting the best of several settings. Chayofa is a lovely Canarian village set in the hills but it is just a few miles above Los Cristianos, one of the vibrant centres of tourism in the south. Imagine that, being able to dip into the night life and enjoy the beaches and then retire back to your rural home. Lanzarote, A Born Again Investment Opportunity

Every Canary Island is unique but Lanzarote added a whole new twist to things by re-inventing itself with a new landscape after a 6 year volcanic eruption in 1730. The legacy is an incredible natural treat for all the senses and a respectful attitude to redeveloping the island with an eye to the future while honouring the past.

Cesar Manrique, the modern father of Lanzarote, was a celebrated artist, designer and architect and he has left behind a foundation that ensures the island’s character is not eclipsed to new developments. There are strict height restrictions on houses, apartments and hotels, so once you buy a new property you needn’t worry about some giant structure arising to ruin your view of this lovely island. Homes also have to conform to colour guidelines, so new buildings blend in nicely with their neighbours.

That doesn’t mean that Lanzarote is stuck in the past, the thriving capital Arrecife expertly combines a modern marina just along from the old fortress that repelled invaders, and rural properties make good use of the natural shielding of palm trees and rocky outcrops. The main tourist resorts of the south east coast, Costa Teguise, Puerto del Carmen, and Playa Blanca all offer large golden beaches and a mix of quiet daytime charm and vibrant night life. With all these contrasts plus a wealth of sporting hot spots it’s hardly surprising that Lanzarote retains its value and popularity.

Living In Los Gigantes

If you make the big move to live in Tenerife it’s to find a better life, the weather plays  a big part but there are lots of other considerations. Los Gigantes has one of the highest percentages of ex pat settlers in Tenerife so what attracts them?

Most people still refer to Los Gigantes as the village and that tells you a lot about its comfortable sedate pace. Up on this part of the west coast nightlife is more low key and you wont find late closing dance clubs. Bars and restaurants are relaxing and great places to mix with friends or make new ones. Los Gigantes is centred around the church plaza and the Anglican church is heavily invloved with the community with regular services and social events.

If sport is a passion of yours, Los Gigantes can meet all your needs. The thriving marina is not only a commercial hub of the community, it also houses many pleasure boats catering for whale and dolphin watching, fishing and simply enjoying the Atlantic. Tennis is a popular past time and there are courts at Tipsy Terrace in the village as well as mini golf and a restaurant. Golfers are well situated for the luxury Abama course just 20 minutes drive away and the other courses of the south such as Golf Costa Adeje, and Golf Las Americas are just beyond them.

Los Gigantes nestles at the bottom of the giant cliffs that give it its name and these and the rugged coast add to the natural beauty that lures visitors and settlers here. The sun record on the west coast is one of the best on the island and helps to encourage the pleasant feel to village life where stress is just a memory.

Why Gran Canaria?

The Canary Islands on a whole have a totally different economic system than that which applies to the rest of Spain and Europe.  Because the Canarian archipelago is part of the European Union but is so far away the area has been granted one of the most favourable economic and tax systems in the whole of Europe as compensation.
From an investment point of view this alone makes these islands extremely attractive and each of the Canary Islands offer a series of different incentives which are specifically aimed at attracting foreign investment, including an average tax rate on company profits of up to 6%.
The largest island in the Canary archipelago also enjoys the same all year round spring climate that its neighbouring islands do.  With average annual temperatures along the coast of about 18 to 25 degrees centigrade, warm waters and blue skies its easy to see why this group of islands has over 10 million visitors a year.
The shape of this fascinating island has given rise to a huge variety of microclimates while the climate is generally dry and sunny all year round in the coastal regions, especially in the south, indeed, Las Palmas, has one of the best climates in the world, as you move up to the higher altitudes of the island the influence of the sea is less and the clouds are retained by the mountains making the area a lot wetter. This produces massive variations in temperature in various areas of the island which in turn produces massive differences in both flora and fauna.
Gran Canaria also offers a large amount of tourist attractions, as well as an unbeatable support system for business investment that makes this beautiful island an ideal choice for both holiday makers and property investment alike.
